Our Heavy Duty Silage Mats are used to cover and seal silage or maize pits. At 34kg each, they will not blow off or lift in the wind. The weight is evenly spread across the surface, and the rubber mats mould themselves to the shape of the pit, ensuring a tight air seal.
It has been proven using silage mats helps slow down the decomposition of silage or maize, and in turn, this helps reduce the volume of effluent. The design of the mat provides total protection from birds and other wildlife.
